Kiwof Plus XL is a higher-dose chewable deworming tablet by Savavet, formulated with Ivermectin and Albendazole at strengths appropriate for large and giant breed dogs. Using the standard Kiwof Plus Chewable tablet in a large dog results in underdosing — Kiwof Plus XL ensures the correct therapeutic dose is delivered in a single tablet.

COMPOSITION :-

WHAT KIWOF PLUS XL TREATS :-
Roundworms — Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina
Hookworms — Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala
Whipworms — Trichuris vulpis
Note: Does not treat tapeworms. Add a praziquantel-based product if tapeworm coverage is needed.

HOW KIWOF PLUS XL WORKS :-
Ivermectin causes paralysis and death of susceptible parasites by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells. Albendazole disrupts tubulin polymerisation in parasites, collapsing their cellular structure and blocking energy production. Together they provide coverage across roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION :-
Offer directly as a treat or place inside food
Dose calculated on body weight — XL is for dogs above the weight range covered by standard Kiwof Plus Chewable
Adult dogs: every 3 months for routine deworming
Albendazole absorption is enhanced when given with food containing fat
Do not improvise by using multiple standard tablets — use the variant that matches your dog's weight range

CRITICAL BREED WARNING :-
Do not use in Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, or any herding breed with the MDR1 gene mutation. Standard doses of ivermectin are toxic to these breeds and can cause seizures, coma, and death. Consult your vet for a safe alternative deworming product for these breeds.
